Chris Gurney and his team of experts for example, have created a program based on the Royal Canadian Airforce 5BX popular in the 1950's - 80's.

I started the programme about 3 weeks ago. I'm going nice and steady so far.

Our fitness program inspired by 5BX

The internationally acclaimed 5BX fitness plan (last published in the 1980's) was bought by a reportedly 24,000,000 people looking for a simple and effective way to get fit. Now outdated, (some exercises are now considered unsafe) we developed Goodbye Couch! Fitness.
   

This home exercise program retains the same core principles and style but exercises now considered unsafe have been replaced. The plan is simple and works on the principle of overload, the exercises progressively get more challenging as fitness levels, strength and flexibility improve.
